Take tracezilla to new heights with Connect

This month we officially launch our new module Connect
Connect is a module designed to optimise your processes by connecting tracezilla with other systems and devices. Connect allows you to configure these connections in a standardised way via tracezilla’s interface and build in logic for how they should work. The Connect-module requires the Power Pack module to work.

Main features:

Connections to external systems

You can create connections between tracezilla and other systems such as printers, email, servers or other cloud systems. By creating connections, you can make tracezilla communicate with other systems. There are a number of standard connection types depending on which device to connect to and what needs to be exchanged.

Automatic actions based on triggers

Various triggers can be set up so that a given action in tracezilla automatically triggers an action in another system, on a device or a server.

Inbox and outbox

Documents and files exchanged between systems are received in an inbox and sent from an outbox. This means you can always see what has been sent and received and what its status is.

Interacts with Power Pack

Connect interacts with Power Pack in all sorts of ways. For example, a Power Pack scheduler will fetch files from an external server and another scheduler will, for example, create orders based on the file. The logic for how a given file or connection should be handled can be defined in a document template. Files to be sent to a connection will also need to be created as a document template. The interaction between Power Pack and Connect provides multiple options for customization and implementation of special logic and automation.

Examples of using Connect

Below you find some example uses cases. These are examples that can give an idea of some of the options available in the new module. There are countless other options.

XML-based exchange with 3PL warehouse

If you need to exchange files with an external warehouse in a given XML format, it will be possible to set it up in Power Pack and exchange via a secure connection using Connect.

JSON-based exchange in connection with external supplier invoice flow

If you use an external service for approving supplier invoices - such as Medius GO or Rillion - orders and supplier invoices can be exchanged in e.g. JSON or XML format.

Automatically print e.g. delivery notes or GS1 pallet label when the order or delivery is updated.

Click and print directly

Instead of opening a document and printing via the browser, a connection to local printers can be set up so that printing is started when a button is clicked. This can also be with bulk actions and built-in logic for what to print on which printers.

Scan a barcode and print

A print can also be triggered by scanning a barcode with a hand scanner. Logic can be added to the barcode for what to print and on which printer.

Send email notifications to users for various events

Connect can be set up to send email notifications for a given event. It can be that an order has been created, a status has changed, a scheduler has run, a report has been updated etc.

Retrieve orders from server

Using Connect, you can automatically retrieve an order file from a server and create it as orders in tracezilla. In connection with the creation, logic can be added for how an order should be handled when it is created.

Send documents to a server

Send documents to a server where another system should retrieve them from. This could be, for example, product descriptions or images. For example, an updated version can be sent every time relevant data is updated in Tracezilla.

Data lake

Fetch and send orders to a data lake on a server whenever updates are done to an order in tracezilla or on the server.

Prices

The Connect module is an add-on module on par with B2B Commerce, Tasks & Controls and Power Pack.

It will typically require help from a tracezilla-consultant to set up and configure Connect.

Setup is billed on an hourly basis according to tracezilla’s standard prices for consulting assistance.
