What does Vaffelexpressen do?

Vaffelexpressen sells everything an ice cream shop needs, except the ice cream. With a wide selection of waffles and all kinds of toppings – such as crumbles, sauces, cream puffs and custard – they deliver in their own vehicles to ice cream shops and ice cream cafés on Zealand, Lolland and Falster in Denmark. The family business has 27 years of experience importing and selling ice cream accessories to Danish customers and is very committed to delivering the very best customer service. The workflow, which has always been characterized by a manual and paper-driven approach, has now been updated and systematized – and this saves employees a lot of time.

Why did you choose tracezilla?

In August 2024, we started the process of optimizing our company. At that time, we understood that a warehouse system and a webshop would make our work easier. We therefore searched for warehouse management systems and discovered that one of our previous customers is a happy and satisfied user of tracezilla. But the icing on the cake (or ice cream) was the packaging management. In tracezilla, there is a smart way to register packaging, which makes our reporting in relation to the producer responsibility for packaging much easier.

Which functionalities mean the most to you?

Additional sales with B2B-webshop

With B2B Commerce in tracezilla, we have created a webshop where customers can log in, see all products and place their orders directly online. Compared to before, where they sent text messages with orders and we manually entered them into our accounting system, this saves us a lot of time. We also avoid many typing errors. The webshop also gives our customers the opportunity to explore our entire range, and we experience that we get additional sales on more products, as customers get a better overview.

Smart registration of excise duties and packaging

We have entered all the data on products with excise duties, such as disposable cups. The tax is based on weight, and by registering it on the products in question, we can quickly and easily create a report on everything we must report to the state. The same applies to the amount of packaging – from cardboard boxes and tape to shipping labels – where the type and amount are registered on the individual products. It is easy to have everything in the system, so we don’t have to weigh it all every time.

Better overview with the purchasing module

We are also very happy with the entire purchasing module. Before, we didn’t have an overview of what we needed to buy, but now it’s easy to see what we have in stock and what we need to order.

User-friendly and flexible solution

The user interface is incredibly easy, and the team at tracezilla is always ready to look at ideas and improvements. For example, they have made it possible for our customers to create favourites in the webshop at our request. The support is also always ready to help if there is something we don’t understand. Basically, we are just super happy, it is a huge change in the way we work.
